Queer Voices Toastmasters offers LGBTQ+ people and allies an inclusive, supportive space to find your voice and build your confidence.

Improve your public speaking skills and share your stories of love, curiosity, diversity, challenge, growth and resilience.

**We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings, from 6:45-8:45pm at the Scotiabank Dance Centre, 677 Davie St in Vancouver.

*Please note that we have outgrown our current meeting space and so, until we find a new larger space, we need to limit the number of guests at each meeting.

Please RSVP through these buttons as soon as possible for each meeting so that you are near the top of the guest wait list. You will be notified if we have space to welcome you for that particular meeting. (The buttons for the next meeting get updated a day or so after the last meeting.)

  • a proven, self-paced curriculum for public speaking

  • supportive feedback for every speaker, every meeting

  • community agreements that create a safe(r) space

  • a group of like-minded folks working courageously to use their voice

  • lots of laughs

"I was met with kindness and generosity—starting with someone offering me their seat when I came in slightly late.

“That small gesture set the tone for what I quickly realized is a truly special space—supportive, fun, and professional, all at once." ~ Guest

“Speak your mind - even if your voice shakes.“

— Maggie Kuhn

Whatever you want to say, this is the place.

Maybe it has nothing to do with sexual orientation or gender expression or relational structure.

Maybe you want to talk about why the world needs better design. Or about how you’ve created the world’s most magnificent recipe for a turkey sandwich. But you want to practice in a space you know is welcoming and affirming.

Whatever.  No matter the topic, we’ll give you a stage and listen and provide feedback so you can improve your public speaking.

“I didn’t expect such a warm and vulnerable space. Not that I had any idea what to expect, but my nerves and anxiety had built it up to be scarier." ~ New Member
